Back in Nairobi, studio visits to Irene Wanjiru

Its great to be home and to get on with the research and work for Circle Art Agency, last week Fiona and I had a great chat with Beatrice Wanjiku, whose paintings I love, she showed us her new work and told us about her recent visit to Dak’Art thanks to the Goethe, Moving Africa fund.  We then popped in on Irene Wanjiru, who I am please to find has moved to my neighbourhood, Karen.  She showed us her amazing sculptures and we caught up on the last few years.

Fiona and I were then invited to lunch by Claudine Mathis at Talisman were we discussed art, our plans and Circle and asked her for her ideas and opinions, thanks Claudine for a delicious lunch and for doing a great job supporting the arts, they have artists booked to show in the restaurant until 2014!
